Kitch via Google

I'm trying Google Checkout to save on PayPal fees, which in turn should save all of my customers money in the long run since I can charge less. Let's see if it works...

I was featured

I was featured on OldBagVintage blog! And a whole post was done about the store on Indie Finds on Etsy - thank you! Very cute!

Helping a fellow Etsy CRESTian with some Analytics

Here's to help out a fellow Etsy CREST member with Google Analytics (and a look at my shop). If you want to see when the best time to post or repost an item, the best guess is when you've had the most traffic in the past — though you should keep in mind when you normally post things, because if it's usually around the same time everytime, then there is likely to be a trend line right after that. Anyway, without further ado:

• If you go to the visitors tab, then click on "Visitor Trending" you get a list of options. The ones you're probably most interested in are "Visits," "Pageviews" and "Time on Site."

• These normally appear in day view, which is why a lot of people don't realize they can do hour-by-hour, but if you click the "Graph by" clock button for hours in the upper right corner, then you can find what you are looking for.

My First Video - and Yes, That's Me Demonstrating

So, I took video for one of my items that I posted on Kitch, this Tupperware Pickle Keeper, a funky cool strainer canister thing - I would totally use it for storing olives or pickles and then you pick up the handle and the liquid stays at the bottom and you get your delicious veggies. However, I've never actually tried to take video and my camera's a piece of dog dooh, so it's not very good. I thought it would be helpful to show how the item worked, but I don't know if it does that at all. Also, I have no clue how to flip the image around...

Greetings and Congratulations!

When my mom and aunt decided to sell my grandmother's house, they went up and cleaned the place out. I totally totally totally regret not going all the way up to Buffalo to join them because I know they got rid of a ton of kitsch and fun retro items that I would have loved — we all have very different taste. Oh well. My mom did, however, take a big box of greeting cards that my grandmother had bought over the years and horded, and I in turn scavenged through it and grabbed some good ones.

Four of these cards I posted today because they would be perfect for this season — two are graduation cards, and two are farewell/good-bye cards. They are fantastic and I priced them really low!

Good Feelings!

I have been bad about updating this site, let's be honest, but I have been posting a ton on Inspired by Etsy and have been busy with life and school and work, etc. Well, anyway, I just wanted to post here because I got really excited when I was uploading some images to my Flickr account and saw all of my Kitch items in one place, they all look so fun and colorful and exciting. It just made me happy. So, I took a screen shot and am putting it here for everyone to get the same feeling!

Also, thought it would be graphically interesting in the same way to see who hearts my shop and it was awesome to see that I have 42 people who love me! Yay!

Added to Treasury!

One of my cookbooks was featured in an Etsy Treasury about books and reading! Thanks Glitzer (see blog and Etsy store).

Loads More Items! part 2

Today is book day, I guess, as I posted a BUNCH of vintage cookbooks!
